Influenza Vaccine

Should my child get a flu shot?

The Center for Disease Control recommends that everyone 6 months and older be vaccinated for influenza annually.  Influenza is spread through coughing and sneezing.  Symptoms, typically lasting 5-7 days, include fever, sore throat, chills, fatigue, body aches, and cough.  Influenza can lead to pneumonia, seizures, and hospitalization. In fact, about 36,000 people in America die from it yearly.
