Promoting physical activity


The team at Cornerstone Pediatrics would like to encourage you and your family to “step it up” in regards to living an active lifestyle.  Helping your kids to be active is one of the best things you can do for their overall health.  People who are active as children are more likely to remain active throughout life, and laziness is a hard habit to break!  So, help your kids find physical activities that they enjoy, and encourage them to engage in activity for at least an hour every day.  Even better, take up activities as a family such as hiking, basketball, or daily games of tag.  Limiting screen time (TV, video games, computer time) to less than 2 hours per day will also help in keeping your family active and, therefore, healthy!
